How to Assign Roles
Assigning roles allows you to control what your team members can see and do within your Pulsetic account. By selecting specific roles—such as Owner, Editor, Viewer, or Accountant—you ensure everyone has the exact permissions they need to do their job without compromising account security.
Who can use this? Role management is exclusively available to accounts on Team or Organization plans.
Understanding Teammate Roles
Before updating a role, choose the permission level that best matches your teammate's responsibilities:
| Role | What They Can Do | Best For |
| Owner | Full access to all account settings, team management, billing, and monitors. | Company founders or lead administrators. |
| Editor | Full access to create, edit, and delete monitors, heartbeats, and status pages. Cannot manage billing or team members. | Engineers, IT staff, and system admins. |
| Viewer | Read-only access to view monitors, response logs, and status pages. Cannot change any settings. | Team members who only need visibility during incidents. |
| Accountant | Access to billing details, invoices, and subscription plans. Cannot edit monitors or technical settings. | Finance teams or accounting staff. |
