Understanding Your Monitor Overview

The Overview provides a comprehensive snapshot of your website, server, or API's status and historical performance. It combines visual data, key statistics, and trend analysis to help you quickly identify issues and understand how your monitored asset is behaving.

The Response Time Chart

This section features an interactive chart that visually represents your monitor's response time over a selected period. The chart helps you quickly see performance fluctuations and identify potential slowdowns. Data points are color-coded by monitoring location. You can filter the chart by continent, specific location, and various time ranges to focus on the data that matters most.

Quick Insights

This area presents key, at-a-glance statistics about your monitor. It provides quick metrics like the average response time, overall uptime and downtime percentages, the current response time, and, for HTTPS monitors, the status of the SSL certificate. This gives you an immediate understanding of the monitor's current and recent state.

Time Period

This section offers a breakdown of performance trends over different time periods. By examining uptime, downtime, the number of incidents, the longest incident duration, and the average incident duration across various intervals (like the last day, week, or month), you can identify recurring issues and understand the overall stability of your monitor. You can also often analyze this data for custom time ranges.

Report

The Report functionality allows you to generate a shareable and customizable summary of the data presented on the Overview page. You can often customize the report's appearance (like background color), choose which data sections to include (response time chart, stats, trends), and even remove Pulsetic branding. The generated report can typically be downloaded as an image or a PDF file for easy sharing and record-keeping.
