How Pulsetic Works
Pulsetic lets you monitor your websites, servers, and APIs with ease. You've got options, but the core process is straightforward. We'll walk you through the steps, so you know exactly how it works.
Your Pulsetic Monitoring Steps
Get ready for accurate uptime, downtime, and performance data, plus instant alerts when things go sideways.
Let's Dive In:
Step 1: Add a Monitor
First, you'll add what you want to monitor—your website, server, or API—as a "Monitor." You'll primarily provide the URL of the asset you wish to monitor. Learn how to add a monitor in detail: How to Add a Monitor
Heads Up
By default, the URL will be used to identify the monitor, but you can also assign a custom 'Name' for easier management.
Step 2: Configure Monitoring Settings
Now, let's set up how you want us to check your resources. We'll show you all the options, and you can improve them to fit your needs. Learn how to configure your monitoring settings in detail: How to Use Advanced Settings
Want More Control? Use the Advanced Settings. You can customize request types, headers, response validations, and more. We'll save these settings for you.
Step 3: Add Monitoring Locations
To get a global view of your asset’s performance, you’ll need to specify the monitoring locations. Pulsetic allows you to select one or more nodes worldwide. This enables you to see where your website may be unavailable or experiencing slow response times. Learn how to add and manage monitoring locations in detail: How to Manage Monitoring Locations
Step 4: Set Up Alerts
Get notified the instant something's wrong. This keeps you on top of things and minimizes downtime. Just give us the monitor ID and pick your alert channels (email, SMS, Slack, etc.). We'll send alerts based on your settings.
Think of alerts as your early warning system. They make your monitoring more reliable and your life easier. We'll make sure you get alerts when you need them. Learn how to set up alerts in detail: How to Setup Alerts
Make Your Monitoring Even Better
Some settings are optional, but they can really improve your monitoring. If you're using optional settings, make sure you fill out the required fields. We'll keep you updated through the dashboard and alerts. Plus, you can use our status pages and incident management tools to add even more to your monitoring.
